I decided to go with steel for the frame because wood was too bulky and I wanted the table to lift off to work on the motor and belt. The frame weighs 9 lbs total and I welded it together to avoid a lot of complicated connectors, but it unbolts from the saw with 4 bolts.

I decided to keep it as light as possible, so I built a grid out of white wood and fur, then glued on some 1/8” white cheap Laminate. Next time I’m going use Formica. Anyway the whole table only weighs 13 lbs and is surprising strong for what I need it for.

Fence wheel bracket that rides the rear rail to hold the fence up. the plastic sliding shoe on the underside of the fence catches on the miter slot and is very annoying, so I'm using this wheel until I come up with a better way.

I had to use a 1/8 piece of plywood as a spacer between the fence and the bracket. A spring clamp held it in place until I could fasten it.

I bought a 1984 Micro-trains 60'8" Thrall Milwaukee Centerbeam Flat Car with Rapido couplers. I want to change it to the newer MT couplers, but it doesn’t have a screw to remove the truck.

I redesigned my rail service area to make room for the Car Shop and got little more room, but not as much as I hoped for. I didn’t think about it before, but I guess I can cut one kit in half to make it fit. I was also wondering about extending the track out the back of the building, but now that I see it on the Engine House, I’m not so sure. LAYOUT: 1) The layout is constructed of Atlas N Code 80 track and Atlas N Code 80 Remote Switches with 2 Mainlines and 1 Double Reverse Loop mounted on a 42" x 60" table. 2) The Outside Mainline has 2 spurs, one at each end of the layout. Mainlines have 2 crossovers at opposite sides of layout to allow trains #1 and #2 to switch lines. Each crossover consists of 1 left and 1 right Remote Switches. 4) The Double Reverse Loop is separated into 5 blocks and a total of 4 Remote Switches. Each Loop has 2 Remote Switches (1 to exit the Mainline and 1 for the reverse loop). OPERATION: 1) Train #3 runs around through both Reverse loops automatically as if it where just one continuous loop by setting the default position of the Mainline Loop Turnouts to ‘R’ and add automatic switch control to the Reverse Loop Switches. 2) When a Mainline Train approaches the Double Loop from either direction, the #3 train will stop inside one of the Double Reverse Loops and both Mainline turnouts will switch to the ‘N’ position to allow the Mainline Train to pass-through on the Mainline track. 3) The Mainline Train will be able to turn around within one of the loops by stopping the #3 Train inside the adjacent reverse loop and switch the forward Mainline turnout to the ‘R’ to direct the Mainline Train toward the Reverse Loop.
