Well, I finished the Dreadnought. I did the best I could taking the picture, but I think it turned out good overall. Very brutal, just as a Close Combat Dreadnought should be!

Look, more World Eater updates! Here we have a custom made Autocannon that one of my World Eater Havocs is making good use of. I pretty much took an Imperial Guard Heavy Weapon Autocannon, cut down the barrel a good portion, and adjusted my FW World Eater to hold it. I made sure I positioned him to make it look as though the weapon is just as unwieldy as it looks. I'm quite happy with him, suffice to say.

Another member of my soon to be 9 man Havoc Squad. This guy's carrying around a Lascannon. I wanted to make them pretty much tank hunting Marines, so with the inclusion of the Missile Launcher World Eater I showed a month or so ago, this squad will have 2 Missile Launchers, a Lascannon, and an Autocannon.

Here's part of my World Eaters Tactical Squad. As you can see, the heavy weapon in the squad is a Heavy Bolter, the special weapon marine is using a Meltagun. I know some people may scorn the use of anything other then two Meltaguns, but the main purpose of both my Tactical Squad and Havoc Squad is to cover my Berserkers from a long range. I think they'll do just fine.

This has to be one of my favorite tanks in the 40k universe, if not my most favorite. The Malcador chassis in general is superb, I'm a huge WWI fan (my great grandfather served in the Scottish Canadian, 16th INF), so I am naturally drawn to its design.

Ahh yes... the Valdor's only defensive weapon. Heavy flamer mounted on one side, similar to many older tanks. This pretty much relegates the Valdor to hiding in cover or being escorted by a Leman Russ or Sentinels.

Here's a test picture of the mud effects I've done on my Defender. I was going to wait to get some PVA glue, but seeing as bills come before games (most of the time), I had to improvise. They say necessity is the mother of all inventions, so here you go. Sand, flocking, Reaper Miniatures Walnut, RM Wood Shade Ink, RM Flesh Shade Ink. Mix until it's a nasty pasty mud, and apply. Viola!

Well... I've finally started on my Malcadors. I've got 5 Malcador- chassis tanks that need to be painted, these include 2 Malcador Defenders, a Malcador w/ Battle Cannon, Valdor Tank Hunter, and a Minotaur w/ Twin-Earthshaker Cannons. I'm going with a Tan / Red scheme, as you can kind of make out in this picture. It's still VERY WIP and I've kept it dark for now to really show its age.

Another shot of the Malcador. These tanks are said to be over 10,000 years old, predating the Horus Heresy itself, so I want to give the feel of an impossible old piece of war machinery. It's been decked out with Heavy Stubber Side Sponsons to make it a dedicated anti-infantry tank.

One of five World Eaters Terminators I own, these guys are all done in the Legion scheme along with the rest of the army. If the rumors are true for Imperial Armour 7: Siege of Vraks III, then these guys will be Lord Zhufor's retinue of personal guard. I plan on giving him two more to bring the total of 7 Terminators, Zhufor making 8 in the unit and representing Khorne's sacred number. Also planned is a unit of 8 World Eaters Terminators equipped with Twin-Lightning Claws.

Completed Terminator w/ Reaper Autocannon. This is the only Terminator without gore and dried blood caked on his armour. The way I see it, he has no chain weapon, a power weapon would more burn flesh and cauderize wounds then cause a mess, and the Power Fist is more useful against vehicles... They don't bleed.

Another Terminator. I decided to experiment and do all the Chain weapons with warning chevrons on them, akin to Iron Warriors scheme. It turned out well, although I weathered them down good and then added a lot of gore, too.

Well, I decided with my World Eaters theme that I'd have my warband more focus on Khorne's aspect of martial honor then just pure slaughter. Granted, I do have 32 Berserkers, but I've also found that without range, World Eaters kind of... suck. So I've built a squad of 10 Tactical Marines, consisting of a Heavy Bolter operator, a Missile Launcher equipped Tac Marine, and a Powerfist / Plasma Pistol toting Champion. The last 8 kits I have will be used to build a squad of Chosen, probably equipped with Melta guns.

The red is all but done, and I achieved a perfect fade on the red, in my opinion. The trim I've started to do in a brownish orange color, which through progressive stages of wash will look more of a burnished copper or bronze, as it's starting to now. I want to avoid using metallics on this piece if possible, and I absolutely HATE Non-Metallic Metallic schemes as they look way too cartoony.

Well here's a little update on that picture I posted earlier... It should all be easier to tell what this is now. For those who still don't know, it's a claw from one of my Forge World Brass Scorpions! I'm going with a really antiqued, aged look for these. A biproduct of the intense heat and humidity here recently has been some odd effects with my primer on this guy, which has turned out to look more like beaten metal on the flat areas. I decided to go with this! The idea I have is to do as I am now, a fade job on the armour platings, from black to red. It's working out well so far. The trim will pretty much stay the same color, I may throw in a little brown to make it look more brass, and perhaps a mild green for an oxidation look. We'll see how I feel about that one.

I've decided to do some modifications to the weapons on these guys to make them seem more efficient in close combat. Here I've added a spear or voulge to the Great Chain Axe to give it more effect in combat, increasing the likelihood of scoring multiple blows at once. Opinions?

A simple upgrade on this weapon, simply a spike added to the butt of the Chain Axe. Great for stabbing, striking opponents behind you.

Here's a view of the Skull Champ (Lord?) with his updated weapon. I wanted to give his weapon a multi-purpose feel as well, so I've added an additional spike on the top for thrusting, as well as a hook on the back, reminiscent of a Lochaber Axe. Mainly used to disarming enemies and grabbing their armour (or flesh... yikes!).

Well my latest batch of World Eaters are in, and I've started modifying them a bit. I had two what I'd assume to be Skull Champions, each with a Chain Axe and Power Sword. I really can't see World Eaters using Power Swords, so I've decided to instead give them a second Axe each. This guy has a Power Axe, which I may stylize a bit more and make him a Lord with Bloodfeeder. I'm not sure. And the paint job came on him, it's NOT my work. It'll be done in the Legion scheme.

This one I like a lot. He has the World Eater standard Chain Axe, but then I decided to go ahead and give him a Great Chain Axe for the other hand. The way I see it, he's not only an Astartes, but also blessed by the Blood God, giving him the strength to flail a two hander around in one. SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!

I think the blood splatter turned out pretty good on these guys. My idea was to make them look as savage and brutal as they are in the fluff, but make it tasteful too. I hope I've accomplished this.

This model is my favorite, for some reason. I think it's a combination of the great blood splatter on his helm and his awesome pose. He looks barbaric!

This was what I was calling the "alternate" scheme, which I've come to the conclusion this will be the final scheme. Here's one complete in the scheme (sans power cell, that will be finished shortly after posting these pics on B&C). I've come up with my own recipe for blood splatter as well, which came out splendid!

Here's two completed World Eater Berserkers in my Pre-Heresy scheme. I just need to point out to those who are wondering, these models are NOT Pre-Heresy (Loyalist) World Eaters. In my imagining of the World Eaters Legion, they have not changed their colors and still retain those of 10,000 years ago.
